Educational leadership of today’s administrators must be consistent with ideals and values that are believed of the leader. It is important to define by analysis of educational theory, knowledge, and particular topics what one believes to be true. There will always be people searching for new ways of thinking, new ways to teach students, defining how to make learning more valuable, interesting and meaningful. This paper is a philosophical paper of values as determined from a personal perspective of issues in education on: the purpose of education, the nature of learning, the nature of human beings, the nature of knowledge, and the appropriate means of carrying out the purpose. These elements will compromise factual and philosophical values of the author of this paper and be valuable in determining the educational leadership of the individual as a future school administrator throughout their life. This paper is by no means the only opinion any educator or administrator should believe, but a valuable tool in understanding of the author as a professional in education.
